Nfamara Jawneh is a personate development practitioner and human rights educator with over 15 year experience.
Mr. Jawneh currently works as the Executive Director of Beakanyang Organization, a national human rights and development focus NGO.
Prior to his current role as Executive Director of Beakanyang, he served as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of The Point Newspaper and briefly worked with The Standard Newspaper as an associate editor.
He has also served on the boards of various youth-focused organizations, and coordinated multiple programmes and projects across the country.
He is a graduate of Coady International Institute of St. Francis Xavier University in Canada.
Mr. Jawneh is the pioneer president of Young Journalists Association of The Gambia (YJAG) and human rights heroes award winner.
