Sheriff Bojang Jnr, currently based in the UK, is an independent podcast producer, freelance journalist and researcher on West Africa. He freelances for multiple international media outlets including World Politics Review (WPR) and Voice of America (VOA) and produces podcast series for NGOs and institutions.

A former President of Gambia Press Union, he initially worked for West Africa Democracy Radio, RFI English service and New African magazine. He also filed for Aljazeera, France 24, The Guardian newspaper, Xinhua and Africa 24.

Sheriff is the recipient of the 2011 Radio for Peacebuilding Africa award - by Search for Common Grounds. He was also a finalist for the 2015 CNN African Journalist of the Year award, as well as the 2012 Fitzgerald Price for Young African Journalists - by Reuters.

He is also an independent researcher on/in West Africa and among his clients are Sanofi Pasteur, Novartis, Bairds CMC, Cross-Border Information and Sunday Times.

He covered the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia, the 2015 general elections in Nigeria, the 2014 revolution in Burkina Faso, 2012 presidential elections in Senegal and Sierra Leone, the trial of ex-Chadian dictator, Hissene Habre and other major events.
